Sheraton Kauai Resort

One of the best spots you can stay on the island. Rooms in solid order (ever so slightly dated, but still very clean) and the beachfront rooms are AMAZING! You are mere yards from the ocean. Rumfire is a great nice dining option and Lava's is solid for lunch and drinks. It's near a few different towns/shopping areas and is nice and calm. The pool area gets a bit crowded, and the Luau's that happen on Mondays and Wednesdays are a bit inconvenient, but those are very minor gripes on a very affordable beachfront hotel!

Our friends stayed at this location, and we had the opportunity to hang out in their “Ocean View, King, High Floor” room. It was very nice, and the ocean view was beautiful. We ate at the two onsite restaurants, RumFire and Java’s, and they were both excellent in terms of service, quality and variety of food, and beautiful views of the Pacific. The grounds of the Sheraton Kaua’i are impeccably maintained, and the location in Poipu is outstanding.

Hotel side is better than the apartment side. Not impressed with it. No refrigerator, kitchen or microwave. Beautiful island.....Burgers at Lava's were excellent. Pricey, but of good quality. Plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area along with incredible botanical gardens around the corner.

We had a great time here. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The pool was not crowded and very clean. We loved being able to raise a flag on our pool lounger to get service from the bar. The Lava bar has very good food at surprisingly good prices. Kiahuna Beach which is directly behind the resort is beautiful. Sunrise from the beach is spectacular. There are walking trails stretching directly from the resort to Poipu Beach (about a half mile), where sea turtles can be seen most days. The weather on this side of the island tends to be better than the north side. We had an amazing vacation and have decided we will be back. We highly recommend.

We were gifted a 3 night stay so I can not comment on the value. We avoided the high-priced resort restaurants by taking a short 10-minute walk through the plantation to the shops and restaurants directly north of the resort. We had nice meals at the pizza place and the Mexican restaurant as well as at Living Foods, a short drive away. We are swimmers and so we used the cooler pool on the non-beach side. Because there was no hot tub, there were no kids and very few people. We also enjoyed the fitness room.

We spent a week here and it was fantastic. We stayed in a condo with a kitchen and laundry. We couldn't see the ocean but that didn't matter. The pool in this area was very nice and not as busy as the other pool by the ocean. There was an outside grilling area that was very clean and easy to use. And if you take a short walk on the beach, there's a good chance you will see some turtles!!!

One of the best hotels on the south shore of the Kauai. The staff is great as well, especially Betty who helped us to extend our stay and offered a late check out option. Highly recommended!

The front desk staff is super friendly here, that I fully appreciated! The location is absolutely perfect. It's close to Poipu beach where all the turtles come up at night. There is also a resort fee, but it does cover activities and parking. We did the lei making class which was awesome! Rating this resort a 4 though because Sheratons usually are Marriotts higher tier and I would expected even better rooms for the price point, even if it is Hawaii. We had an ocean front room which was beautiful, but there were quite a few ants in the bathroom which made me a little uneasy.
